LOVE is a complicated aspect of LIFE. There are not so many words to describe it in the most exact, proper way. Some say, it is MAGIC - a SURPRISE which everyone probably long for everyday of their lives. It can even be LIFE itself! To others, it is a package filled with indescribable feelings of joy and sadness. And it amazed me, it made me wonder and ask…”what is LOVE, really?” How would you know if you have it in you? Then something happened - answering my thoughts. :)
Just before Christmas, a package came for me. A very special package which I have to pick up myself. So, I rode a bus for 6 long hours just to see it for myself. Surprisingly, I did not feel nervous. Instead, there was excitement…enough anticipation to make me look forward for what I am about to see. Though it took a while, the moment still came. At first, I cannot believe it and I thought I felt my jaw dropped. After so many years, someone finally came for me. Just when I already convinced myself that long distance love affairs are just myths, there He was…standing right in front of me, staring back at me. And for the first time, I can see ME in his eyes.
At that moment I didn’t realize how long it has been when we first saw each other on a computer screen. Sitting together (though not physically) made us seem near from each other. Countless text messages and phone calls made us feel “so near, yet so far.” But now, we’re together…and it’s unbelievable! He’s with me…he came just for me as a GIFT for Christmas Day! (and oh…New Year too!) *giggles*
It seemed funny - feeling as if you belonged to someone…someone who’d really take risks just to claim you His. Almost a year ago, we were miles apart but now…we can see how well our hands fit together, how each other’s lips are meant to be sealed for long periods, how each stare tend to cause curves on those lips, how every hug made us not want to let go…of each other.
It is indeed true that for as long as we are in the same sky, we can never be too far away. Even distance should not be a hindrance to LOVE for it can be solved. Though I can’t keep him for now, somewhere in my memory…I’ll always remember the day that a fantasy once became reality…just for me!
